About Us:

Eagle Eye Golf & Banquet Center proudly operates three premier championship golf courses in Mid-Michigan: Eagle Eye, Hawk Hollow, and Timber Ridge. In addition, we offer exceptional banquet, wedding, and conference facilities across these locations. Our portfolio also includes Woodside, The Falcon, and the Little Hawk Putting Course, providing a diverse range of golf and recreational experiences.


About the Role:

The Assistant Event Planner plays a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of events by assisting with detailed planning, coordination, and on-site management. This position supports the event planning team to deliver high-quality events, ensuring that all aspects of event logistics, from setup to breakdown, are handled efficiently to meet client expectations and organizational standards. The role involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication and problem-solving throughout the event lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelorโ€™s degree in hospitality management or event planning, or extensive work experience
  • Working knowledge of banquet, social events, food service, bar, and golf operations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in event planning and/or event execution
  • Experience with Caterease event planning software or a similar event management program
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Replying to event inquiries from various sources
  • Assist with site tours
  • Assist in planning and coordinating banquet and event logistics, including room setup, catering, audiovisual needs, and decor
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their event needs and provide timely updates
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to ensure all event components are delivered on schedule and to specification
  • Support on-site event management by overseeing setup, monitoring event progress, and addressing any issues that arise promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of event details, client preferences, and post-event feedback to improve future planning processes
