Job description

Title: Corporate Event Planner

Location: St. Louis, MO

Summary:

Carboline is seeking a Corporate Event Planner to lead the planning and execution of trade shows, customer events, conferences, and more! In this role, you'll combine creativity, organization, and strategic thinking to deliver impactful events that strengthen our brand, engage customers, and support business growth.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or equivalent experience 

  • 5+ years of event planning experience in a B2B environment 

  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills 

  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and contracts, and design experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires extended computer use and up to 35% travel. No unusual lifting or environmental requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, customer events, conferences, and company meetings from concept through completion 

  • Create engaging event experiences that strengthen customer relationships, elevate the Carboline brand, and support business objectives 

  • Research venues, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor partnerships to deliver high-quality events on budget 

  • Oversee all event logistics, including registrations, travel, accommodations, catering, audiovisual needs, signage, and event materials 

  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities to maximize value and ROI 

  • Coordinate sponsorships, invitations, attendee communications, and post-event follow-up 

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and leadership teams to align events with strategic goals and ensure flawless execution 

  • Evaluate trade show and event opportunities, recommending participation based on business impact and budget considerations 

  • Drive event timelines, manage multiple priorities, and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule 

  • Measure event success, gather feedback, and implement improvements for future programs 

  • Champion the Company's safety and quality initiatives
