Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. is a world-class leader in designing and manufacturing custom machine bases for vibration-sensitive production tools used in semiconductor fabrication.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to support precision machining operations in a high-quality manufacturing environment. This role involves operating CNC and manual machines, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining tight tolerances under the guidance of senior machinists and engineering staff. The Machinist will contribute to continuous improvement efforts while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including mills and lathes, to produce precision components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T specifications with moderate complexity.
  • Run existing CNC programs and make minor edits or offsets as required.
  • Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters with guidance from senior machinists.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Assist with troubleshooting machining issues related to setup, tooling, and machine operation.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Document job setups and machining processes to support repeatability.

Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of experience in precision machining, including CNC and/or manual machine operation.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining principles and basic G-code programming or editing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with tooling selection, cutting parameters, and standard fixturing methods.
  • Proficiency with common precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
  • Technical certificate or associate's degree in machining or manufacturing technology preferred.

  • Physically demanding role involving regular bending, stooping, crawling, and standing on a concrete shop floor.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required on the shop floor (all PPE provided).
