Job Description

Essential Job functions:

  • Function as the primary Marketing and Communications department liaison and marketing expert
  • Ensure projects within the Marketing and Communications department are completed on time and on budget
  • Execute graphic design projects such as basic brochures, flyers, newsletters, journal ads, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Identify key marketing opportunities within region that will increase brand awareness and meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with department team to identify the steps, resources and timing needed for each project to be managed successfully
  • Manage development of marketing tactics, including broadcast, print, events, digital (web, social, SEO, SEM), content marketing, relationship marketing (direct mail/email) and collateral components
  • Assess project workflow and coordinate information sharing and collaboration among team members as needed
  • Manage program execution working with internal Marketing and Communications department team members and external vendor partners
  • Assist in deploying completed projects (shipping, sending to media, managing mailing, confirming delivery to internal stakeholder, etc.)
  • Develop marketing activity status and tracking reports
  • Develop master marketing calendar outlining activities, service line, media, sponsorships, etc.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, industry news and competitor activities related to service line categories
  • Identify and coordinate special events and lectures
  • Identify procedures for improvement workflow and project management, make recommendations to Manager; implement approved improvements

General Job functions:

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to develop, manage and deploy department calendars, project prioritization and day-to-day task lists
  • Maintain graphics standards for the brand in the development of materials
  • Serve as primary contact for physician offices in order to coordinate, fulfill and deliver collateral and other requests for office marketing/material needs
  • Develop and maintain list of key marketing contacts for each physician practice office and comprehensive care center (hub)
  • Organize marketing materials and develop a process for deploying materials (brochures, posters, rack cards, etc.) to physician offices
  • When required, collect data/information (from internal stakeholders, competitive research, historic files and marketing initiatives, etc.) to inform project scope and briefing document development
  • Understand and be able to access all databases and marketing/communications asset files and archives systems (archiving all marketing and communications materials including graphics files)
  • Handle highly sensitive date in a professional, diplomatic, and confidential manner, including ability to foster strong client and team relationships, and consensus building
  • Support need for proof-reading assistance throughout the production process
  • Build collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization to provide advice

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience required
  • Excellent verbal, writing and editing skills
  • Experience doing project management for multi-media communications programs a plus
  • Computer Skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity with project tracking programs (such as SharePoint) and database platforms
    • Proficiency in common graphic programs (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) to create basic brochures, flyers, newsletters, journal ads, etc.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment to make independent decisions as required
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Self-starter; displays initiative and resourcefulness in achieving goals.
  • Comfortable brainstorming and sharing ideas in a team environment
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus
  • Ability to maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Confidence working with senior executives and physician leaders
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing communications and its various channels (print, broadcast, digital, social)
