Role Overview
The Associate Buyer supports the planning and execution of the assortment strategy, including style, and quantity, in alignment with customer demand, market trends, brand direction, and financial goals. This role contributes to sales and gross margin performance while supporting effective inventory management.
The Associate Buyer assists in maintaining established processes and control standards to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency. This role coordinates product information across functions and collaborates cross-functionally with Visual, Planning, and Merchandising to support alignment, timely execution, and successful delivery of product initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Partners with the Senior Buyer to develop and execute product assortments across Men's and Women's for Retail, E-Commerce, and Outlet.
  • Partners with global teams in EMEA on product feedback, pricing strategy, and regional market needs to support margin optimization.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Planning, Allocation, E-Commerce, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations.
  • Prepares weekly, seasonal, and ad hoc business recaps to support business optimization.
  • Analyzes sales trends and leverages insights to identify product opportunities (e.g., transfers, reorders).
  • Monitors industry trends and evaluates competition through store and market visits.
  • Develops presentations for product knowledge training and monthly focus products for stores.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of buying/merchandising experience within luxury / contemporary apparel or accessories brands
  • Proactively contributes to a team environment that is professional, flexible, and collaborative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while effectively prioritizing multiple competing deadlines.
  • Customer focused with a strong eye for trends and knowledge of the contemporary market.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of retail math and proficient in MS Excel
  • Ability to build strong relationships across a global organization

This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NYC office
PAY RATE: $70,000/yr-$80,000/yr
