Job description

Job Opportunity: Columbus OH
Our client is looking for a Buyer to join their team. Our client is growing fast globally and looking for top talent to join their team. They are a leading global supplier of Abrasive Blasting and Painting Facilities to a range of different industries.
The Buyer will be responsible for setting stock levels, reordering points and safety stock, ordering material for inventory replenishment using various tools, and more.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or relevant experience is required
- Bachelor"s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- Prior supply chain experience (purchasing and/or planning)
- 3-4 years of prior experience in a production or technical environment is preferred
- Knowledge of purchasing and planning best practices and data analysis
- Experience in communicating with vendors, customers
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Review component demand generated by the BPS Assembly production schedule and open work orders to maintain appropriate component supply to support production activities
- Manage preferred stock level, reorder points and safety stock levels to maintain target inventory levels and average stock turns
- Place replenishment orders using Netsuite or the Planning Board
- Follow-Up of Vendors for All Open Purchase Orders on a weekly basis and update Purchase Orders with updated ETA"s
- Work with Product Management and Engineering to source equipment components when needed
- Ensure compliance with Supplier Quality Control Process
- Manage inbound freight for replenishment orders
- Inventory/Procurement Reporting
- Provide business analytics, reporting to management
