This position has responsibility for planning and purchasing sporting goods Footwear. This is a full-time position that works on-site in Troy, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and capitalize on market and customer trends
- Merchandise presentation direction and guidelines
- Optimize sales and gross margin dollars by analyzing, evaluating, and adjusting plans
- Achieving Sales, Margins, and Turnover plans
- Developing merchandise assortment by category and continually evaluating, analyzing, and adjusting these assortments
- Open-to-Buy, pricing, and markdown management
- Advertising, planning, and execution, including Co-op procurement
- Source out and negotiate the best prices
- Make key buying decisions that have an objective of providing our customers with great value and quality
- Attend seasonal trade shows
- Resolve fulfillment and/or shipping problems promptly
- Monitor placed orders to ensure timely deliveries
Qualifications
Candidate requirements:
- 3+ years retail footwear buying experience
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
