Are you an experienced Senior Buyer with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing? Do you enjoy negotiating with suppliers and managing complex purchasing activity across multiple commodities? Are you looking for a role where you can influence sourcing strategy and support a fast-paced production environment? If so, this opportunity may be the right next step for you...


RPS is supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer in the search for a Senior Buyer to join its Purchasing team in a full-time direct hire position. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a highly collaborative manufacturing environment supporting critical procurement activity across raw materials, machining, MRO, outside processing, and supplier management.


The successful Senior Buyer will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, supporting production schedules, and driving purchasing strategies across multiple commodities. This position offers exposure to both domestic and international sourcing activity within a regulated aerospace environment.


As the Senior Buyer your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing buying activity for raw materials, machining, castings, forgings, MRO, and outside processing services
  • Negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, terms, and supplier agreements
  • Monitoring purchase orders and resolving supplier delivery or quality issues
  • Supporting sourcing initiatives including supplier qualification and cost reduction activity
  • Mentoring junior buyers and supporting purchasing forecasts and scheduling activity


As the Senior Buyer you will bring::

  • Demonstrable experience of buying within a manufacturing environment
  • Aerospace purchasing experience in a machining environment is highly preferred
  • Experience of working with ERP/MRP systems is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
