The Associate Account Director is a leadership role on the account team, responsible for driving client relationships, leading social strategy, and overseeing the execution of impactful work. This person is a trusted partner to our clients, a leader to our internal teams, and a key contributor to the growth of our agency.This role reports to the VP, Account Director.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Thought Leadership

  • Lead the development of social-first creative strategies that are culturally relevant and drive business results.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients, providing thought leadership on the social landscape, creator economy, and emerging trends.

  • Translate client business objectives into actionable, innovative social media campaigns and content programs.

  • Identify and articulate new opportunities for client growth and brand distinction in the social space.

Client Relationship & Account Management

  • Own and cultivate senior-level client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.

  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention through proactive communication, strategic counsel, and flawless execution.

  • Oversee all account operations, including scoping, budget management, and resource allocation.

  • Masterfully present creative concepts and campaign results to clients, articulating the strategic rationale and business impact.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of account professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Provide clear direction and feedback to internal teams, ensuring all work is on-brief, on-time, and on-budget.

  • Inspire and motivate the team to produce innovative, best-in-class social creative.

Business Growth

  • Support new business efforts by contributing to proposals, pitches, and presentations.

  • Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing client relationships.

  • Manage account profitability, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and budget.

Qualifications

  • 6+yearsexperience in an account managementor strategyrole at a social, creative, influencer, or digital agency.

  • A deep understanding of the social mediaand influencerlandscape, including platforms, trends, and audience behaviors.

  • Superior attention to detail, and incredibly collaborative nature.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and grow client relationships.

  • Innate curiosity with strong strategic and creative thinking skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage a variety of overlapping projects.

  • Experience managing and mentoring direct reports.
