Job description

Gupta Media is looking for an Account Director to join our Media Department at a senior level. If you are passionate about media and performance marketing with extensive experience in leading results-driven, e-commerce, brand, live event, lead generation and additional types of campaigns, we want to talk with you.


Gupta Media was founded over 25 years ago on the idea that advertising could create huge leverage in our clients' businesses. Our work initially focused on the entertainment industry, specifically live events and recorded music (SXSW, Sony Music, Universal Music, and Disney Music Group are all clients). We have grown to include global brands (Amazon, Sophia Learning), major sports franchises (X Games, Florida Panthers, Washington Commanders, Cleveland Cavaliers, Women's Tennis Association), as well as public sector institutions (City of Boston, Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism).

As Account Director, you will be a key member of our media management team, bringing a fresh perspective to our team, with proven experience that will allow you to quickly adapt to our strategy and approach. Specific responsibilities include:


Client Management

You will be managing global business for high-priority clients. This involves daily and weekly communication with some travel to engage and build lasting partnerships.


Team Management

As Account Director, you will manage a team of Associate Account Directors, Analysts, and Coordinators, ensuring they are delivering at every stage of the campaign. You will also be involved in supporting their hiring, training and ongoing career development as we continue to build a best-in-class team.


Strategy Development

As a leader within our Media team, you will build and maintain expertise in the digital platforms we use, providing insights and analysis on the campaigns you oversee. Staying on top of the latest trends in digital marketing, emerging platforms, and developments in programmatic and other areas, you will be actively involved in helping to build our internal strategy on new platforms and working with our clients to facilitate testing.


Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a preference for Marketing, Advertising, Business, Economics or related field;
  • 10+ years of agency experience;
  • Experience with Meta Ads & Google Ads is required and experience with Snap Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager is preferred;
  • Proven experience managing complex clients with annual media spends in the $2mm+ per year range;
  • Analytical expertise;
  • Experience in managing a team of direct reports;
  • A high level of enthusiasm and professionalism;
  • Curiosity, an important trait for every role on every team within our organization.

Compensation
At Gupta Media, base salary is one component of our total compensation and benefits package. For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $130,000 - $160,000, depending on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan, which is based on the company's performance.
