This key role is essential to keeping our facility running smoothly by ensuring proper staffing coverage and supporting our nursing team in delivering high-quality resident care. Job Summary

The CNA Scheduler is responsible for assisting with staff scheduling for the Nursing Department. This position helps coordinate an effective, efficient schedule under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and works closely with nursing supervisors to meet shift-specific nursing care hour needs.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Schedule all nursing staff and prepare the weekly nursing schedule; notify staff of their schedules and any necessary changes.

  • Receive incoming calls and direct them appropriately to address nursing scheduling issues. Notify Nursing Administration of staffing shortages, scheduling conflicts, or coverage concerns.

  • Obtain approval from the Director of Nursing/Administrator before scheduling overtime or utilizing nursing registry personnel.

  • Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes such as illness, vacation, PTO, and other staffing needs.

  • Collaborate daily with Nursing Administration to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing levels.

  • Assist the nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.

  • Assist the payroll manager with weekly payroll processing and verification of nursing hours.

Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license required

  • Experience in scheduling or healthcare preferred

  • Strong communication and organization skills required
