School Sisters of St. Francis is looking for a motivated, organized, and people-focused HR Recruiter & Assistant to join our team.


This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys connecting with people, recruiting great employees, and helping create a positive workplace environment.

You'll play an important role in attracting and supporting the team members who provide care and services to our Sisters.

About the Role

As our HR Recruiter & Assistant, you'll support the full employee life cycle, with a strong emphasis on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee support.

You'll work closely with leadership and department managers to help ensure we attract, hire, and retain compassionate, qualified employees.


What You'll Do

Recruiting & Hiring

  • Manage and coordinate recruitment efforts for open positions
  • Create and post job advertisements on appropriate job boards
  • Review applications and resumes
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews
  • Assist with reference and background checks
  • Help coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records


HR Support

  • Assist with employee onboarding and personnel documentation
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Respond to employee questions and direct them to appropriate resources
  • Assist with HR policies, procedures, and communications
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Assist the HR team with day-to-day administrative responsibilities
  • Help ensure HR processes are completed accurately and on time

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Passionate about helping build a strong and compassionate team

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications

Preferred:

  • Previous recruiting or HR experience

  • Experience working in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or other service-oriented environments
