We are adding an energetic, knowledgeable Assistant Food Service Director position to work in a K-12 school lunch program.
Your day is focused on helping your staff delight our customers. Through your hands-on training and your calm, steadfast guidance, you serve as a positive role model for the team. Your exemplary customer service skills leave no doubt as to your passion for the business. Your community-minded, detail-oriented focus on communication through marketing and social media, makes retaining and growing client relationships easy. You step in and support the Food Service Director effortlessly. At the end of the day, the kids are fed with some of the best school meals in food service, your clients are happy and your peers are supported.
Essential Functions:
* Updating social media as required
* Archiving special menu and events with pictures and commentary
* Executing outstanding catering events
* Assist Food Service Director in delivering budgeted financial results
* Creating a positive team environment
* Maintaining HACCP standards
* Managing ordering and inventory
* Leading daily production
* Overseeing cash management
* Engaging in regular client interaction
* Implement monthly menu (as required)
* Monitor daily production records
* Assist with weekly stock orders
* Performs additional related duties as assigned by leadership

* 1 year of previous experience in a similar role with an associate degree in hospitality/dietetics preferred
* Ability to multi-task and ajust priorities as required
* Exceptional organizational skills
* Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
* Must have Serv/Safe certification
* Previous experience managing food and labor costs
* Experience managing a staff
* Proficient computer skills in MS Office and other platforms
* Catering experience, a plus
* Successfully pass a criminal background check
