ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

  • Set up and break down various cooking stations; stock supplies as needed
  • Assist cooks with tasks such as grilling, wok cooking, sauteing, stirring soups, monitoring roast temperatures, broiling, and prepping vegetables for sauces
  • Observe and learn all kitchen tasks with the goal of performing them independently
  • Gain exposure to all phases of kitchen operations to understand the full workflow
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Greet and assist team members courteously with a positive attitude
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with all staff
  • Provide friendly and courteous service to all team members

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in Asian, Italian, or casual cooking within a specialty restaurant setting preferred
  • Presents a professional, pleasant, confident, and well-groomed appearance
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with guests and staff
  • Understands and follows recipes and menus
  • Performs basic math functions accurately
  • Fully knowledgeable of company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Reads, writes, and communicates effectively in English

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and manuals in English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
