The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable team members for the position of Martial Arts Assistant. Are you looking for a part-time opportunity where you can use your martial arts knowledge and skills in decision making, problem solving and dealing with the public? Our Martial Arts Assistants enjoy a flexible schedule along with a fun work environment and earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $17.00 hourly.
As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in providing instruction in the martial arts discipline of Tae Kwon Do. Generally, you'll teach a few classes each week, including helping out when a substitute teacher is needed.
As a Martial Arts Assistant, your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Setting up facilities for programs, events, games, and activities
  • Providing information and top notice customer service to patrons
  • Attending mandatory training meetings
  • Providing first aid as needed

We're looking for someone with specific expertise in the martial arts discipline of Tae Kwon Do and black belt designation. He or she should also be knowledgeable in first aid and CPR. This person should be comfortable leading a group and teaching individuals. Availability to work evenings during class times is required.
