What you will be doing:
Our nationwide team of sales representatives work closely with architectural professionals advising on the design and specification of door openings. This is accomplished through Openings Studio, our award-winning BIM software used to specify 3D doors, hardware and access control. In this role, you can picture yourself as a vital team member to the architect and design team. You will be given the freedom to navigate your path to achieve success in the market. Your goal will be to drive positive, sustaining relationships with key influencers and to create brand demand through educating, facilitating, and promoting ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions. You can expect to be part of a diverse and talented sales team with colleagues dedicated to mutual support and success.
Key areas you will contribute to in this role include:
  • Cultivate relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
  • Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
  • Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
  • Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
  • Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool.

What you will be doing:
  • You will work alongside a committed team of professional sales representatives who are focused on providing specification support and services to many of the top architectural firms in the country.
  • You will serve as the point-of-contact for the architect's education, specification, client satisfaction and technical support needs.
  • You will be responsible for architectural development, project tracking and ultimately gaining approval for our internal team of writers to prepare Division 08 door and hardware specification documents.
  • You will promote adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool and present project proposals for value-added professional services.

  • You can lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.

Education and/or experience:
  • Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
  • At least 1 - 2 years' industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management, will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
  • Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.

The wage range for this role is $80K - $105K and considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business requirements, geographic location and other business and organizational needs. This salary range is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
