Job Description

This position will give you the opportunity to:

  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas, revenue targets, and key performance metrics across the APAC region through direct sales efforts and distributor/channel partner networks.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth within enterprise-sized industrial accounts across the APAC region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders ranging from maintenance and reliability teams to plant leadership and executive decision-makers.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and enable country-level distributors and channel partners throughout the APAC region.
  • Successfully communicate and present Waites’ cutting-edge predictive maintenance and reliability solutions to prospective customers.
  • Identify customer operational challenges and demonstrate how Waites’ solutions can improve uptime, reduce unplanned downtime, and increase maintenance efficiency.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal sales, customer success, engineering, and implementation teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.
  • Manage complex enterprise sales cycles and navigate multi-site industrial organizations across diverse international markets.
  • Support broader APAC expansion efforts and contribute to regional go-to-market strategy development.
  • Build relationships with channel partners, distributors, and strategic industrial contacts throughout the region.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.
Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 7+ years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within industrial technology, manufacturing, reliability, predictive maintenance, automation, or related technical industries.
  • Experience selling into large enterprise or multi-site industrial organizations.
  • Knowledge and experience with continuous monitoring, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, or reliability-focused products/services.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical personnel and executive leadership.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and long-term strategic accounts.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional APAC regional language skills are a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and competitive environment.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout APAC as required.
  • Reside within reasonable travel distance of a major international airport in Malaysia.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industrial maintenance practices, reliability programs, and manufacturing operations.
  • Existing network or experience within industrial sectors across APAC markets.
  • Experience working within international or cross-cultural business environments.
  • Exposure to IoT, SaaS, industrial automation, or Industry 4.0 technologies.
