Proskauer is seeking an Alumni Relations Specialist to support the Associate Director of Alumni Relations. The role will engage with the Firm's alumni through programs, events, communications and targeted individual outreach, helping to strengthen relationships and drive strategic initiatives. In addition to handling critical administrative tasks, the Specialist will plan alumni events, manage communications, analyze engagement data and support initiatives such as the rollout of an alumni portal. This role will also contribute to identifying alumni for relationship building and meaningful engagement opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Drive the planning and execution of alumni dinners and receptions, including communicating/meeting with lead partners, identifying/recommending invitees, sending personalized invitations and individualized follow up, tracking RSVPs, drafting recaps and soliciting alumni quotes, and managing post-event communications and to-dos.
  • Manage and update the alumni communications calendar and support related administrative tasks, including departing attorney and 10-year summer associate anniversary gifts.
  • Evaluate and identify Firm events and proactively recommend alumni engagement opportunities based on practice, industry, market, and relationship-building priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional alumni relations projects by partnering with Corporate Social Responsibility, Community & Engagement, Business Development, Communications, Design, IT, AV, and other teams to define project goals, resolve issues, and drive execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee alumni data strategy and CRM integrity by identifying data and information gaps, recommending process improvements, and partnering with internal stakeholders (i.e., Finance, BD, Intake, etc.) to enhance alumni and client relationship intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Communications to generate external and internal communications, including newsletters, intranet posts and LinkedIn content; independently manage the quarterly Alumni Reflections series, including participant coordination and publication, from scheduling to publication.
  • Drive the Proskauer Alumni Webpage content strategy by assessing content effectiveness, recommending updates, and partnering with Communications and Digital teams to improve alumni engagement and user experience.
  • Analyze alumni engagement data and provide actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders regarding alumni outreach and engagement, demographic segmentation, event strategy, and communications effectiveness, and.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market research on alumni programs, including fostering relationships with other alumni professionals, to learn industry trends and recommend enhancements to the Firm's alumni relations strategy based on findings.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of working experience.
  • Experience in alumni relations, marketing communications or a professional services environment preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM (InterAction preferred and exposure to other CRMs a plus).
  • Experience with email marketing systems (Vuture preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Experience using AI platforms (i.e., ChatGPT and CoPilot) in a professional setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Collaborative, proactive approach with a client-service mindset.

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week or more, based on business needs). The anticipated compensation for this position is $85,00 - $115,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
