Director of Alumni Relations
Position Summary: The Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for developing, supporting, and standardizing alumni engagement efforts across facility-level programs. This role partners closely with facility Alumni Coordinators and Business Development teams to enhance alumni outreach, social media presence, and creative marketing initiatives aimed at increasing visibility, engagement, and long-term connection with former patients. The Director ensures alumni programming aligns with organizational values, ethical marketing practices, and regulatory standards applicable to substance use disorder treatment.
Success in this role requires strong knowledge of social media platforms, digital engagement strategies, and healthcare marketing regulations, including HIPAA. The individual must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills, while collaborating across teams and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
Essential Job Duties Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction, guidance, and ongoing support to facility-level Alumni Coordinators to ensure consistent and effective alumni engagement practices.
  • Develop standardized alumni programming frameworks, tools, and best practices while allowing for facility-specific customization.
  • Train and educate facility teams on best practices related to alumni engagement, social media use, and content guidelines.
  • Partner with Business Development and Marketing teams to support that increase visibility. Engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Assist facilities with content planning, messaging, and creative concepts for alumni communications, including social media posts, newsletters, and digital campaigns.

Qualifications
Requirements:
  • High School Degree required, Associates Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience required, 5-8 years related experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital engagement strategies.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and ethical considerations in healthcare marketing.
