Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Aggregate Equipment Technician to join our team in the mining industry. As an Aggregate Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment. This position involves the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various types of heavy machinery used in the aggregate industry, such as crushers, screeners, and conveyors. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Safety and quality are paramount in this role, and you will be responsible for adhering to industry standards while providing high-quality service. Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on aggregate equipment such as conveyors, feeders, washing equipment, diesel engine driven equipment, genset, mobile track equipment, impact crushers, screeners, and jaw and cone crushers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance routines to ensure machinery is functioning properly.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and safety compliance.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic failures and perform necessary repairs.
  • Install and modify equipment as necessary to meet operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a technician or mechanic, preferably in the aggregate or heavy machinery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components of heavy machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when required.
