IMI Agency specializes in Building Better Beverage Business™ for our Hospitality Clients with innovative marketing programs and promotions, interactive food amp; beverage merchandising and operations tools, staff training, and recognition/reward programs for all channels in the global Hospitality, Retail, and eCommerce industries. IMI programs create brand value and opportunities, driving F amp;B revenues and guest engagement for our investors and clients.
Job Summary:
We have an opening for an articulate, hospitality, analytical, organized, and service-prone Business Development Manager, Hospitality Tech Solutions, to join IMI and collaborate with the IMI Account Management Team. IMI Agency is seeking a highly experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth and placements across our suite of hospitality technology products. This role is responsible for selling directly to chain operators across hospitality, eCommerce, and retail clients while working cross-functionally with IMI’s Account Management team to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close business. The focus will be on a recently launched training amp; education LMS platform. The ideal candidate brings deep relationships and experience in beverage within chain hospitality, eCommerce, and specialty retail environments, along with a strong understanding of beverage operations, training and education (management amp; staff), and technology platforms.

Given the high visibility of IMI Agency within leading hospitality, retail, and eCommerce operators and beverage suppliers in B2B and B2C communities, along with the ethical, transparent, fiduciary, and legally compliant ethics of our company, all IMI team members must be intelligent, mature, well-polished, trustworthy, and have a high standard of ethics and leadership. You must have confidence and class in conducting IMIs and the Client's mission but also know how to get constructive feedback and implement the necessary changes in performance and work, based on that feedback. You must dress and carry yourself in a manner that is superior to the standard, along with speaking and writing clearly.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales amp; Business Development
  • Drive new revenue through direct sales of IMI’s technology suite, including:
    • Nitecapp (training and education platform)
    • RFP Pro (RFP and procurement management tool)
    • IMI Manage Promo (promotion and activation management tool)
    • Additional beverage and hospitality technology solutions
  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities with chain operator clients
  • Develop strategic sales plans targeting national and regional accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (operations, beverage, procurement, training, and marketing)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Account Managers to uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client portfolios
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions based on client needs and operational goals
  • Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
Implementation amp; Customer Success Support
  • Work alongside the implementation team to ensure smooth onboarding and deployment of technology solutions
  • Act as a client advocate to ensure adoption, satisfaction, and long-term success
  • Support ongoing customer success initiatives to drive retention and expansion
Market amp; Product Insights
  • Provide feedback to leadership and product teams on market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape
  • Stay current on beverage trends impacting chain operators across all channels…hospitality, eCommerce, and specialty retail.
Travel will be 30% plus.
Education amp; Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • 7+ years of sales experience in chain sales, , beverage, or SaaS/technology solutions
  • Proven track record selling into chain operators; selling across multiple internal departments
  • Strong existing network within hospitality operators preferred
Skills amp; Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of chain operations, beverage programs, and/or hospitality/LMS technology
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and close enterprise-level deals
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
Additional Requirements:
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events
  • Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
  • Successful track record of completing high-level Project Management duties
  • Experience communicating effectively with all levels of management, including high-level stakeholders
  • Takes initiative and is a part of the solution to issues and problems that arise
  • The ability to multitask, handling several projects simultaneously
  • High-energy interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor
  • Successful supervisory and/or employee management track record
  • High proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and work under minimal direction
  • Hospitable, with a service-prone, client-first mentality

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, hospitality, communication, or a related field
