Position Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, ensuring that all goods and services are purchased in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner. The role requires significant experience in strategic procurement, team management, and supplier negotiation. The Procurement Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with business goals and optimize procurement strategies, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to support company goals.

  • Lead supplier negotiations, focusing on cost optimization and quality.

  • Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements

  • Manage the procurement team, fostering skill development and high performance.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs and forecast demand.

  • Utilize procurement and financial analysis tools to manage budgets and track expenditures.

  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in procurement processes, including digital transformation.

  • Monitor market trends and apply findings to optimize procurement strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

  • Serve as procurement liaison for contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and external manufacturing partners including but not limited to qualification and onboarding of CMOs, contract compliance, forecasting and production plan alignment, performance monitoring, etc.

  • Education/Experience: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).

  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in supply chain optimization software, advanced inventory management, and supply chain strategy development.

  • Cognitive Skills: Strong team leadership skills, budget management, and strategic planning capabilities.

  • Decision Making/Impact: Responsible for strategic and operational decisions affecting the supply chain.

  • Supervision Received: Moderate level of supervision with a significant degree of autonomy in managing the department
