Job description

We are looking for a AGGREGATE MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR to join our team. As a Aggregate Maintenance Coordinator with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities related to aggregate production and processing. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and machinery used in the production of aggregates, such as crushers, screens, conveyors, and other processing equipment. You will collaborate closely with maintenance teams, production supervisors, and management to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe working environment.

About the Role 

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance Oversight: Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program, coordinating staff and contractors to prioritize tasks based on production needs.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Respond quickly to breakdowns, minimize downtime, and use performance data to resolve recurring issues.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct inspections with corrective actions.
  • Spare Parts and Inventory: Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate purchasing within budget guidelines.
  • Training and Development: Train maintenance staff, address skill gaps, and support professional growth.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate maintenance records and report on performance, costs, and downtime.

About You

We Require:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, preferably in aggregate production or similar industries.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities to coordinate maintenance activities and liaise with various teams.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for maintenance planning and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
