Department Description: The Office of Graduate Admissions at High Point University is responsible for the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of prospective graduate and professional students. The office oversees outreach initiatives, application review and processing, campus visits, interviews, admissions communications, and enrollment planning. Graduate Admissions collaborates with academic programs and university partners to achieve enrollment goals while ensuring each prospective student receives personalized service throughout the admissions process.

Job Description: High Point University's Office of Graduate Admissions is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support the promotion of graduate and professional programs. This position offers hands-on experience in higher education marketing through the creation of digital content, social media management, email marketing, photography, graphic design, and multimedia storytelling. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, enjoys creating engaging content, and is eager to help showcase the student experience while strengthening the Graduate School's brand.

Job Location/ Hours Required:

The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Millis Convocation Center. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging graphics and digital assets for social media, email campaigns, websites, and digital advertising.

  • Capture and edit photography and short-form video highlighting graduate students, faculty, events, and campus life.

  • Design promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, presentations, and digital signage.

  • Assist with planning, creating, and scheduling content across Graduate Admissions social media platforms.

  • Develop Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, LinkedIn posts, and other multimedia content that reflects the High Point University brand.

  • Support email marketing campaigns by creating graphics, writing content, and formatting communications.

  • Maintain a content calendar and assist with campaign planning for recruitment initiatives.

  • Attend graduate admissions events, open houses, campus visits, and student activities to capture content.

  • Assist in maintaining a digital library of photos, videos, and branded marketing assets.

  • Monitor social media engagement and provide recommendations for improving audience reach and engagement.

  • Collaborate with admissions counselors and university marketing staff to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

  • Perform other marketing and communications duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current High Point University undergraduate or graduate student.

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communication, Strategic Communication, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or InDesign) is preferred.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Basic photography and videography skills, including editing short-form video content.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
