About the Job
The Admissions Graduate Assistant (GA) works to assist the Admissions Staff in their college recruitment efforts. This person will assist in the recruitment of high school students and contribute to the recruitment process by supporting the Admissions Office. This person will assist multiple departments within Admissions including Recruitment, Marketing, Events, and Operations. Travel for this position is required. This person must have strong relationship building skills and be able to promote the University to high school students. This role suits someone who is a self-starter, likes to travel, and can make independent decisions that lead to student transformation by selecting Colorado Christian University (CCU) as their university of choice.

6. Ability to learn and use admission software, along with other Microsoft Office programs.
7. Positive demeanor, high energy, ability to self-start, and is results-driven, with a professional appearance.
8. Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is a significant asset in this role.

Key Job Duties

1. Contribute to CCU's mission: Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth. The Admissions Graduate Assistant shares the vision of how a degree or program through CCU will transform prospective students as they obtain their education with a Christian worldview that emphasizes how personal values and ethics can impact education, life, and work.
2. Assist Enrollment Counselors in connecting prospective students and their families with Colorado Christian University by building positive relationships and explaining why a Christ-centered education fits the student's long-term goals.
3. Assist with in-office recruitment efforts to support funnel management. This will include sending emails, texts, and making phone calls to prospective students.
4. Work in a team environment to meet assigned admissions goals and objectives each academic year.
5. Travel to designated territories. This travel may consist of being out of the office for a week at a time to support University Enrollment Counselors.
6. Assist prospective students in completing the full admissions process.
7. Work in a team environment to meet the totality of assigned admission goals and objectives each academic year.
8. Assist with CCU Admission Events which includes giving tours, setting up for events, and transporting families via CCU vehicles.
9. Assist Marketing and Operations with packaging/mailing, transcript processing, and data clean up.
10. The GA will work on average 25 hours per week but may be required to work more during certain seasons and fewer hours during others.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to drive a vehicle, fly by plane, or other modes of transportation within assigned territory. You may be required to work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends, and travel is required to meet with students, parents, and schools. Travel during peak times includes Monday morning through Friday evening.
Graduate Assistant Program Details
The Graduate Assistant position is a minimum of a two year commitment and coincides with the entrance into and completion of a graduate program at CCU. Students may take 2-3 years to complete their academic program, depending on the program selected. Graduate Assistants are expected to complete a minimum of two years of service, and to stay in their role through the end of the fiscal year (June 30) in which they complete their graduate program.
The Graduate Assistant must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and be accepted and enrolled in one of CCU's graduate programs. The standard workweek is 25 hours per week and will not exceed an average of 29 hours per week during the year.
Compensation includes a wage of $15.16 an hour and tuition waiver for completion of a master's degree through Colorado Christian University's College of Adult and Graduate Studies. The recipient is responsible for student fees each semester. Any selected graduate assistant is required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have results sent to CCU for review.

Spiritual Requirements

1. Committed follower of Jesus Christ, who believes there is no salvation apart from faith in his atonement on the cross, by grace alone becoming "born again" thus beginning a personal relationship with Christ, the Son of God.
2. Able to effectively communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles and convictions in the workplace. Must have a strong sense of calling to the ministry of Colorado Christian University.
3. Regularly attend and be engaged in meaningful involvement in a Bible-believing evangelical local church. Knowledgeable about the Word of God and passionate about Christian education.
4. Must be a traditional evangelical Christian whose lifestyle is in consonance with sound Christian principles, is compatible with CCU's Statement of Faith, and is in agreement with the Strategic Priorities promulgated by the University.
