Salary: Up to $95,000 per year, depending on experience

Join Our Team as an Admissions Director!

Wedgewood Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and driven Admissions Director to lead and manage our admissions operations. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the admissions process from referral to admission while supporting census growth and maintaining strong referral relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the admissions process from referral to admission

  • Serve as liaison between hospitals, physicians, case managers, families, and internal interdisciplinary teams

  • Review clinical documentation to determine appropriateness for admission and payer authorization requirements

  • Coordinate with nursing, therapy, social services, and finance to ensure smooth and timely admissions

  • Manage bed availability, census development, and daily admissions tracking

  • Develop and maintain strong referral source relationships to support occupancy growth

  • Educate referral partners on facility services, clinical programs, and outcomes

  • Provide guidance and support to patients and families throughout the admission process

  • Collaborate with leadership to meet occupancy and revenue goals

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, intake, case management, or healthcare business development

  • Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute setting strongly preferred

  • Previous experience as an Admissions Director or Admissions Coordinator required

  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and payer authorization processes

  • Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations related to admissions and transfers

  • Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary clinical teams

  • Proficiency in EMR and referral management systems such as PointClickCare, CarePort, NaviHealth, and AllScripts
