Join our team as a skilled Audio Visual (AV) Specialist to provide on-site operational support, sustainment, and technical expertise for classroom audiovisual systems within the USAFCOEFS environment. This role is critical to ensuring fully functional, mission-ready classroom technologies that support training, simulations, and command events. The AV Specialist will maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance installed AV systems, support live events, and ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and networked solutionsโincluding Microsoft Teams-enabled video conferencing. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on AV experience, troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven government environment. The scope is to provide end-to-end audiovisual support across USAFCOEFS classrooms and event spaces, including system sustainment, troubleshooting, event support, asset management, and customer trainingโensuring reliable, high-quality, and mission-ready AV capabilities. Key Responsibilities 1. AV Systems Operations & Sustainment Provide daily operational support and sustainment for installed classroom AV systems, including: โข Projectors, audio systems, control systems, and AV racks โข Network-connected AV and Teams-enabled conferencing systems โข Routine system checks to ensure full operational readiness Maintain: โข Daily logs of tasks, customer requests, and system issues โข Common Operating Picture (COP) of all FCP classrooms โข Weekly inventory of AV equipment and repair parts Perform: โข Preventative maintenance (cleaning, filter/lamp replacement, inspections) โข Equipment repairs and component replacement as required โข Troubleshooting using wiring diagrams and signal flow schematics 2. Service Management & Reporting โข Track and manage workload using Army Enterprise Service Management Platform (AESMP) โข Create and manage tickets in SharePoint and FCP repositories โข Monitor all tickets through resolution and closure โข Provide daily, weekly, and monthly status reports to the COR โข Document equipment usage, repairs, and part replacements Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs): โข Classroom requests: 2-hour response / 4-hour resolution โข General requests: 4-hour response / 8-hour resolution 3. Event & Operational Support Support AV requirements for ceremonies, training, and events, including: โข Change-of-command ceremonies, retirements, and official functions โข Conferences, presentations, and multi-day events Responsibilities include: โข Coordinating with customers to determine AV requirements โข Conducting site surveys (power, layout, acoustics) โข Transporting, setting up, configuring, and operating AV equipment โข Monitoring and adjusting audio/video quality during events Produce: โข Audio products and recordings for official events โข High-quality sound and visual outputs using mixers and equalizers 4. Customer Support & Training โข Serve as primary AV support representative for classrooms and events โข Provide hands-on assistance and troubleshooting for users โข Deliver training and briefings on AV systems and instructional technologies โข Coordinate with technical support teams to resolve complex issues 5. Equipment & Asset Management โข Maintain accountability of AV equipment, repair parts, and inventory โข Manage AV loaner program (issue, track, receive equipment) โข Document shipping/receiving of AV components, including packaging and labeling โข Track usage of consumables (e.g., projector bulbs) by classroom Requirements โข DoD Secret Clearance โข Compliance with DoD cybersecurity and information assurance policies โข Ability to safeguard Government systems, equipment, and facilities โข Knowledge of handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) โข Bachelorโs degree in Audio Visual Technology, IT, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience) โข 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting AV systems and live events โข AV hardware (projectors, audio systems, mixers, control systems) โข Video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams) โข AV signal flow, wiring, and schematics interpretation โข Basic networking concepts related to AV systems โข Experience supporting live events and presentations โข Ability to manage multiple service requests in a fast-paced environment โข Strong communication and customer support skills Preferred Qualifications โข Experience in DoD or government training environments โข Familiarity with SharePoint and AESMP ticketing systems โข Experience supporting classroom or simulation-based training systems โข Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for AV systems Powered by
