Job description

Job Title:  AV Support Technician

Location: Waltham, MA 02451

As a member of the Audio Visual (AV) Support team, the incumbent, with a minimum of 3-6 years technical experience managing staging and audio visual events and good understanding of AV devices (e.g Clickshare and Procom). Excellent and communication and problem solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Set up, operate, maintain and repair equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors etc. · 1st level troubleshooting for all end user and AV devices in the conference rooms Ex.: Click shares, Procom, Phones. · Install and maintain audio visual equipment including display devices, projectors, televisions, camera systems, video teleconferencing systems (VTC), microphones and speakers. · Hands and eyes support (deploy, rack, stack, patch, cable) of AV devices. · Perform inventory management of equipment, wirings, and accessories to avoid any shortages. · Does racking\stacking, rebooting, cabling and work on the instructions given by L2 teams. · Provide excellent equipment services to meet client expectations. · Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements and inspections. · Prioritize and complete work orders accurately and timely. · Provide technical assistance to other Technicians when required. · Tracking and resolution of all Incidents and Service Requests related to the break fix. Respond to end-user requests for updates on ticket status and promptly follow up as needed. · Perform hardware inventory management of assets in stockroom and update of equipment status in Remedy. · Coordinate and manage replacement of faulty parts under OEM support. · Participate and support SWAT team activities in response to Incident/problem resolution. · Timely conversion of Incidents to WO’s · Maintain adequate spares inventory at all time. · Timely WO assignment to the appropriate support team as soon as spares arrive on site. · Provide live webcast support to big forums and meetings as may be required · Perform routine maintenance (e.g. restarting classic ClickShares, changing of projector bulbs) · Replace worn out AV cables, liberty rings etc. · Tidy up AV cabinets, AV equipment on table, VC units. · Perform Software upgrade and test with the help of Calgary AV team. · Create and maintain AV related end user documents. · Create training documents/ Instruction manual for AV technology · Provide quick training on using AV technologies (VC, Trios, 360 cameras etc.)
