Job Title: Audio-Visual (AV) Installer

Job Description:
We are seeking Audio-Visual Technicians. The AV Installer is responsible for assisting with the installation and setup of AV systems, including video conferencing, audio equipment, displays, and projectors. This technician will assist senior AV technicians with mounting, wiring, and testing AV components, ensuring proper system functionality in both commercial and residential environments. The AV Installer will follow safety protocols, adhere to AV system specifications, and provide support in diverse settings, including meetings, presentations, and events.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation, wiring, and mounting of AV equipment such as TVs, projectors, speakers, microphones, and other audio-visual components.
  • Run and terminate various AV cables, including HDMI, Cat5e, Cat6, and audio cables for seamless AV system integration.
  • Set up and configure AV equipment for meetings, presentations, events, and other purposes, ensuring system functionality and high-quality performance.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of audio-visual systems, identifying and resolving minor technical issues with audio equipment and video systems.
  • Assist senior technicians with AV system calibration to optimize performance for clients and ensure systems meet their expectations.
  • Follow safety standards and ensure that all AV installations comply with company policies and industry specifications.
  • Maintain an organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and ready for use.
  • Document work completed, including AV system configurations, cable paths, and system tests to support future troubleshooting and system updates.
  • Provide technical support for AV systems, assisting with setup, calibration, and minor repairs of AV equipment in commercial, residential, and event settings.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of AV systems and audio-visual equipment, including speakers, projectors, microphones, and displays.
  • Familiarity with AV cabling, including HDMI, Cat5e, Cat6, and audio cables, and how to properly terminate and connect them for AV installations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow installation instructions and AV system specifications.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in AV system installation and audio-visual technology.
  • Comfortable working in commercial, residential, and event environments.
