Senior AV Engineer

Chicago, IL

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the development, design, implementation and support of Revantage's corporate AV solutions, meeting rooms, conference rooms and training rooms
  • Develop long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future AV equipment and corporate technology needs
  • Manage the daily video conference operations and all corresponding audio visual related items
  • Manage the audio visual services staff members, including recruiting, mentoring and monitoring employee productivity and performance
  • Investigate internal system customizations and/or modifications to reduce vendor fees and implement the improved configurations
  • Monitor and audit conferences for quality and user experience, recommend and oversee enhancements
  • Collaborate with organizational policy-makers to establish and enforce proper AV practices and procedures
  • Advise on the purchase of new AV equipment; assist with its installation. Conduct research on, and make recommendations for, AV products in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Set up, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot teleconferencing equipment, multimedia devices, televisions, monitors, projectors, recording equipment, speaker sets, digital cameras/camcorders, and other presentation equipment
  • Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex AV hardware problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including offsite repair as needed
  • Build and maintain a spare parts inventory for all AV equipment. Review and analyze audio visual system development requests to determine the level of IT support required, assignment of priorities and scheduling
  • Develop and recommend new policies and procedures that enhance current audio visual processes and provide quality assurance
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Collaboration Systems, research advances in audio visual services, and present recommended improvements

Skills We're Seeking

  • 7+ years of experience with AV/Collaboration Systems Engineering

  • Experience with Cisco CUCM
  • Experience with AV vendors such as Polycom, Crestron, Tandberg, etc.
