HVAC/Controls Post Sales-Engineering & Install Market Leader-Great Lakes and Ohio ValleyRole Overview

This role is responsible for driving profitable growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and talent development across HVAC Controls Post-Sales Engineering & Install delivery operations. You will lead a multi-disciplinary organization, strengthen customer relationships, and build the capability needed to expand Johnson Controls' market presence.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and execute market business strategies that align with regional and enterprise objectives.

  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, and market share expansion.

  • Develop and implement annual operating plans and growth initiatives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and local stakeholders.

  • Identify new business opportunities and support sales teams in achieving growth objectives.

  • Provide leadership across HVAC service, controls, project execution, installation, and operational teams.

  • Ensure the successful delivery of customer commitments while maintaining operational efficiency.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, scheduling effectiveness, labor utilization, and process standardization.

  • Use performance data and analytics to evaluate business results, identify risks, and prioritize improvement actions.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Champion a customer-first culture that delivers outstanding service and measurable customer value.

  • Resolve complex customer issues and ensure successful outcomes.

  • Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and field employees across the market.

  • Create a culture of accountability, engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

  • Identify and develop future leaders through succession planning, mentoring, and career development.

  • Drive achievement of revenue, margin, productivity, and operating income objectives.

  • Manage labor productivity, resource planning, and business investments with strong financial discipline.

  • Bring together technical, commercial, and operational leaders to create a seamless customer experience.

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Significant leadership experience within HVAC, Building Automation/Controls, Mechanical Services, or related building technologies.

  • Proven experience managing customer-facing operations, service delivery, project execution, and business performance.

  • Demonstrated success leading and developing teams through growth and transformation.

  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing revenue, profitability, and operational metrics.

  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to drive business decisions and performance improvements.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred
  • Experience leading a multi-functional field organization.

  • Background in HVAC Engineering, controls, building automation systems, mechanical contracting, or related technical environments.

  • Experience implementing operational excellence or continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, resource optimization, and field service management.

  • Demonstrated success building leadership pipelines and developing future leaders.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $121-180k(Salary to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
