 What you'll do...
  • Coordinate quoting and service activities in accordance with established company procedures and project management standards.
  • Develop detailed and accurate proposals using internal technical resources and input from the Sales and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain and monitor a log of all active requests for quotation, ensuring timely delivery and communication of any scheduling or resource conflicts.
  • Prepare and include compliance documents for specifications received with RFQs, addressing exceptions and clarifications as needed.
  • Utilize company quote tools to calculate labor and material costs for new projects and change orders.
  • Ensure proposals are conceptually sound, clearly define deliverables, and align with company terms of payment and completion standards.
  • Enter and maintain proposal data in the company QuoteLog system, tracking status and key project details.
  • Review customer purchase orders for consistency with quoted terms and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of quoting tools, templates, and estimating processes.
  • Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed to support sales and relationship development.
 What you'll need to succeed...
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
  • Prior experience in estimating, sales, project coordination, or technical proposal development preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD; familiarity with VBA or Visual Basic is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of industrial controls, automation systems, and related components.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and customer service.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and contribute to continuous enhancement efforts.
  • Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
