Job Description
Description:

National Trade Supply sells air and water filters direct to homeowning consumers primarily through our website, DiscountFilters.com. Everyone needs filters, but few enjoy buying them. Your role will be to help us acquire more new customers by developing strategies that have a direct impact on the business’s top line growth.

We are seeking someone we can trust to manage and profitably grow our base of new customers by managing all direct-response new customer acquisition channels including SEM, SEO, Shopping, Paid Social, Paid Display and Affiliate. This is a very important role for us; the current and future success of our business relies on this job being done exceedingly well.

Who should apply?

Ideally you will agree with most, and hopefully all, of the following statements:

· I love working with and learning from data.

· I am interested in buying psychology and deciphering consumer behavior.

· I am results-oriented and embrace goalsetting.

· I am not afraid to try things that few, if any other companies have tried before.

· I can plan, design, manage and explain highly complex processes.

· I play well with others and seek to elevate the team.

· I quickly grasp complex issues.

· I love to learn new things.

· I have a wealth of knowledge that I can bring to bear.

· I can figure out how to make things better.

· I do not have to be told what to do.

· I move quickly but responsibly.

· I love a good challenge.

· I am curious about a lot of things and love to learn how things work.

Outcomes we are seeking

For someone to be successful in this role, they should expect to learn about the products we sell, the types of people we sell them to, how those people think and behave while making their purchasing decisions and how to best utilize the tools available to us to win more new customers than peer competitors. For paid advertising campaigns, that means ensuring that the right ad shows to the right customer at the right time.

Specifically, you will be expected to deliver the following results and outcomes:

· Manage our direct revenue driving channels including PPC and SEO and improve our monthly new customer counts by 25% within 1 year.

· Work with our CFO to maintain current budgets or rationalize an increase in budget.

· Develop strategies and methods to get the most performance out of Google & Microsoft PPC.

· Design tactics to increase new customer market share faster than our competitors.

· Analyze campaign performance to drive continuous improvement.

· Experiment relentlessly to find innovative approaches that work better for us.

· Manage relationships with relevant 3rd party service providers.

· Work with other areas of the business such as customer retention, product procurement, IT, finance and UX to execute the strategies that you develop.

· Develop a 6 – 12-month demand forecast for all new customer activity.

Why choose us?

The person we’re looking for is very good at what they do and has options to choose from. We understand that it’s not all about what we want. Here is what you can expect from us if we choose to work together:

· Competitive salary and benefits.

· Remote and/or in-person work options.

· Thorough interview process with plenty of opportunity to ask questions about us and the role.

· A great culture that always wants to improve and do better.

· Opportunities for professional development.

· Access to anyone and everyone in the organization.

· A chance to make a real difference in the lives of the people you work with.

Interview Process:

As our team is relatively compact, candidates will engage with a number of crucial decision-makers (including the Owner, CFO, and VP of HR) within a group context. This process might unfold over 1-3 sessions, contingent upon your scheduling availability and our team's chance to become acquainted with you.

Additionally, we kindly request your participation in a behavioral assessment via Predictive Index. This evaluation enables us to gain insight into your preferred methods of team and organizational involvement. By comprehending your professional requirements, our leadership can more effectively support you and enhance your overall employee journey.

We anticipate the timing for our process to be 4-8 weeks depending on candidate availability and notice to the employee’s respective former employer (if applicable).

Our closing pitch to you

We have little interest in being followers – we would much rather suffer the day-to-day frustrations of being copied by our competition. We value strategies and methods that are creative, innovative, brilliant, contrarian and/or highly original (and when those aren’t available, we don’t mind tried and true methods that work). We are looking for people that will help keep us moving in that direction, and if that sounds like fun, we would love to meet you.

10 Reasons why you shouldn’t apply for this job:

1. Lack of Data Savviness: If you're uncomfortable with data analysis and making data-driven decisions, this role may not be suitable as data insights drive our strategies.

3. Resistance to Collaboration: Inability to collaborate effectively across teams could hinder the execution of cross-functional strategies vital to our customer retention initiatives.

4. Aversion to Innovation: If you're not inclined to push the boundaries of loyalty programs and marketing strategies, you might struggle to meet our expectation of groundbreaking initiatives.

5. Inattention to Detail: Given the precision required in data analysis and campaign execution, a tendency to overlook details could hinder your effectiveness in this role.

7. Poor Project Management Skills: If you can't manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously, the role's dynamic nature may overwhelm you.

8. Inflexibility to Adapt: The role demands agility in responding to market shifts and challenges. If you struggle to adapt quickly, you might not thrive here.

9. Underestimating Customer-Centricity: If you can't put the customer at the heart of your strategies, you may not align with our commitment to customer-centric retention efforts.

10. Underestimating Customer-Centricity: If you can't put the customer at the heart of your strategies, you may not align with our commitment to “knowing our customers.”
