Geographic locations in which MMSI currently operates include the U.S East, Gulf & West Coasts, and Alaska. The Corporate Office is in Southern California (Ventura) and its Regional Boat Maintenance Center a technically advanced facility in Woodbine Georgia.

How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:

Join the dynamic MMSI team as a Marine Outboard Mechanic responsible for performing maintenance and repair for the Southeast Region Port Operations for the Navy. This position is located at our Regional Boat Maintenance Center in Woodbine, GA. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for performing repair work on marine engines using hand and power tools along with technical manuals. Also must regularly inspect and test engine equipment to pin point problems. The engines to be maintained are Outboard engines from various manufacturers which include Honda and Yamaha up to 250HP.

-Possess required tools and knowledge to maintain, service, diagnose, and repair Yamaha and Honda outboards. Additionally can address problems involving boat steering mechanisms or propellers.

-Handle multiple work orders and be able to prioritize as appropriate.

-Possess a very strong attention to quality work and detail.

-Possess professional written and oral communication skills.

-Be organized and keep a clean work area.

-Be able to work independently or with a team.

-Be able to utilize computer diagnostic equipment for various marine engine and system applications.

-Be able to troubleshoot, repair and install electrical accessories in boats including bilge pumps, charging systems, and steering systems.

-Possess boat handling skills.

-Be familiar with the assistance in hauling, launching, loading and unloading boats with boat trailers.

-Possess a strong willingness to learn.

-Be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments.

-Must have and be responsible for your own tools.
