Job description

Marine Mechanic / Marine Technician


Norwest Marine – Pawcatuck, Connecticut

Norwest Marine is a full-service marina located on the Pawcatuck River serving southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island. We are an authorized dealer for Mercury, Suzuki, and Yamaha outboards and are looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic / Marine Technician to join our growing service team.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair outboard engines and marine systems
  • Perform routine maintenance, winterization, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Complete engine installations, rigging, and related mechanical work
  • Maintain accurate service records
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist with other marina and service operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Factory or manufacturer training on Mercury, Suzuki, and/or Yamaha outboards required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented
  • Valid driver’s license

Compensation

Pay is based on level of training, experience, and demonstrated ability.

Benefits and overall compensation package will depend on experience and qualifications.
