Marshall Marine is seeking an experienced marine mechanic to join our team servicing and commissioning Marshall catboats and a small variety of other sailboats and powerboats.
We are a small, quality focused boatyard specializing in our Marshall catboats while also providing repair and maintenance services for a broad range of other vessels. The ideal candidate is a skilled, dependable technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities
-Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair marine mechanical systems
-Perform routine maintenance, seasonal service, and preventative maintenance
-Install, service, and repair gasoline and diesel inboard engines
-Service outboard motors and related systems
-Diagnose and repair fuel and steering systems
-Commission and decommission boats for the season
-Perform mechanical installations and upgrades
-Maintain accurate service records and communicate with customers as needed
-Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area
-Work closely with the yard team to meet quality standards and scheduling goals
Qualifications
-Previous experience as a marine mechanic or equivalent mechanical background
-Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
-Experience with diesel and gasoline marine engines
-Familiarity with marine electrical systems is a plus
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
-Valid driver’s license
