Job Description
Salary: Starting at $61,000/year + incentive

We are seeking passionate, team-oriented Associate DBT Therapists to join our comprehensive treatment team. Candidates must have a willingness and passion to learn and develop mastery in DBT, RO DBT, and/or eating disorders. We are only seeking candidates who are compassionate, flexible, self-driven, interested in a long-term commitment, and able to participate in a team environment. 


Our office is located in Boca Raton, FL, but applicants need not be Florida-based. Opportunities are available for fully remote and hybrid positions. All candidates must have a valid license to practice in Florida.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide ethical, competent, and compassionate care to clients from intake to termination
  • Conduct individual, family, and couples therapy sessions with clients 
  • Maintain a minimum caseload of 18 billable hours per week 
  • Create individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances
  • Provide adherent DBT therapy to adolescents, adults, and families in the DBT program
  • Attend weekly clinical meetings to discuss shared cases and actively participate on the DBT consultation team
  • Facilitate process, psychoeducational, DBT skills groups, and/or support groups
  • Complete DBT foundational training via Behavioral Tech or RO DBT training via Radically Open DBT and participate in weekly DBT supervision with a member of the Oasis DBT Leadership team for a minimum of 9 months, or until mastery is achieved
  • Address crisis situations effectively to ensure safety and well-being of clients
  • Complete accurate documentation in a timely manner
  • Develop programs and groups to cater to the needs of the current Client population 
  • Contribute to monthly Oasis marketing efforts and attend on-site and community networking events 
  • Work collaboratively with other Team Members and healthcare professionals to provide the best standard of care to clients 
  • Provide site coverage for Registered and Student Interns 
  • Provide coaching and effective feedback to paraclinical and administrative Team Members on difficult and/or sensitive client interactions
  • Maintain current knowledge of therapeutic research, techniques, and trends 
  • Safeguard client’s Protected Health Information as required by HIPAA and Therapeutic Oasis Policies and Procedures
  • Assist and support other Team Members in their efforts to provide exceptional service and care to every Client
  • Attend staff meetings and training programs as required by management
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management


Education and Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Current Florida licensure as a Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist (e.g. PsyD, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience providing clinical services
  • Must have a willingness and passion to learn and develop mastery in DBT, RO DBT, and/or eating disorders
  • Prior experience/knowledge of DBT a plus
  • Willingness to treat high-risk clients and their families 
  • Willingness to seek supervision and receive feedback from the team
  • Able to offer clinical hours in the afternoons and evenings at least 2 days per week (4pm-7pm)
  • Knowledgeable of psychological, behavioral, and psychosocial issues across the lifespan or in a specialty area to treat these persons via individual, family, or group psychotherapy
  • Knowledge of standard reporting guidelines related to suicide, homicide, abuse, and the like. Willingness to notify the consultation team concerning high risks and critical incidents involving clients that can lead to legal action and standard reporting guidelines
  • Able to quickly make ethical decisions in sensitive and critical situations, while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity as governed by state and ethical standards of care
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and awareness of the socio-cultural characteristics of clients served
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and highest ethical standards of care
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess excellent computer skills; proficiency with GSuite and MacOS a plus
  • Demonstrate a professional and compassionate demeanor 
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work independently and on a collaborative treatment team
