Electromechanical Assembler - Cables

Kongsberg Protech Systems USA in Johnstown, PA is seeking to fill the position of Electro-Mechanical Assembler-Cables. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler will support the effort of our production goals by performing assembly operations to Remote Weapon Stations.

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform Electro-Mechanical assembly operations using basic hand tools and test equipment following step by step work instructions.
• Perform cable build using wire strippers/snippers, heat guns, crimpers, pull testing, etc. Must be able to accurately perform measurements using metric system.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using wiring schematics, deficiencies and concerns in supplied and internally manufactured materials.
• Document deficiencies in database.
• Report progress and discrepancies to Electro-Mechanical Assembly Lead.
• Support and participate in training and cross-training.

OTHER POSITION CONSIDERATIONS:

One (1) year of experience assembling equipment in a production manufacturing environment with a High School Diploma/general education degree (GED) required. J-STD-001 Certification (soldering) and IPC-620 Technician Certification preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team is necessary.
