Job Title: Cable Assembly Technician
Reports to: Cable Lead
Location Magnolia, TX

Job Summary: Cable Assembly Technician will assembly and build out cable for Data vans, etc.

Responsibilities:
  • On a daily basis, techs will be assembling components per bill of materials requirements
  • Performing functional testing on assemblies.
  • Testing assemblies per customer and/or division criteria.
  • Operating test equipment in compliance with engineering standards.
  • Prepping assemblies for shipment.
  • Have the ability to read, follow and interpret cable assembly instructions
  • Be a good team player and enjoy collaborating with others
  • communicating regularly with the cable supervisors on inventory or assembly problems
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
  • Have ability to physically perform duties as needed by lifting and standing for extended periods of time
  • Knowledge of wiring color codes.
  • The ability to read manufacturing drawings
Required Skills
  • Ability to read cable prints
  • Ability to see small details on prints
  • Ability to solder wires to pins and connectors using the standard techniques wire soldering wires
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
  • Ability to work with small items for the entirety of an 8 hour shift
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40hrs per work
Qualifications
  • High school Diploma, GED, or equivalate
  • 1 years of Assembly experience
  • Ability to read cable prints.
  • Excellent soldering skills
  • Excellent crimping skills
  • Ability to use and knowledge of hand tools
