SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Engineering Technician I to join our team as a Cable Assembly Technician supporting the US Navy in Bedford, IN.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting various types of cable assemblies used in different applications for military applications. This entry-level position offers a great opportunity to develop hands-on experience and grow within our engineering and manufacturing team.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma/GED and zero years of experience.
  • No clearance required to start however must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.  SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
  • Capability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Standing, sitting and twisting for periods at a time.
  • Proficiency with hand tools.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • One or more years of experience in cable assembly, electronic assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with cable types, connectors, and assembly techniques.
  • Proficiency with testing equipment used in cable assembly.
