Purchasing and Production Planning Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Purchasing and Production Planning Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the creation of production schedules and managing the procurement of raw materials using our ERP system. Expertise in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics Navision, is highly desirable. The role requires a strong ability to negotiate prices for raw materials and commodities, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the production schedule based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
• Utilize the ERP system, with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics Navision, to manage production planning and purchasing processes efficiently.
• Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for raw materials and commodities.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of raw materials to support production requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and sales, to optimize production schedules and inventory management.
• Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
• Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting raw materials and commodities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in production planning, purchasing, or supply chain management roles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, with specific experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry best practices.
