We are currently seeking an experienced Training & Development Specialist with 3 years of experience to join our team and fully embrace our commitment to deliver, grow, and thrive. 

About the Role:

As a Training & Development Specialist supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to support the development of workforce and training initiatives.  

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

  • Support the development and execution of the office’s priorities, goals, and objectives.
  • Support the workforce development and training initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations for business operation changes leading to increased efficiency
  • Assist with the identification of programmatic strengths and weaknesses.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support effective training
  • Coordinate with program staff and the federal government to develop, update, and revise existing materials for the use of training presentations
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives, effectively collaborating with all parties to successfully fulfill client needs
  • Test and evaluate educational materials to ensure they are effective and meet the needs of the learners
  • Developing presentations, white papers, and/or talking points in support of business operations activities.  
  • Assist with the development of policies, and processes, and recommend business operations solutions. 
  • Address and resolve routine business operations problems, which may require in-depth knowledge in various areas such as business planning & operation, data management, and reporting.  

Location:

You will work as part of a hybrid team in the Washington, DC, metro area, with the expectation of working on the client site two days a week.  

Required Experience/Skills: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience 
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must have previous experience supporting training and workforce initiatives training 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Previous experience supporting the Department of Homeland Security
  • Self-starter and agile performer with strong determination and problem-solving skills to navigate and find solutions effectively
  • Openness to advancing projects even when ideas are not fully formed, with a willingness to refine them as necessary. 
  • Willingness to seek clarification from internal teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of tasks, reducing uncertainty
  • A commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and ethics in all aspects of work.
