The ideal candidate is someone who has significant experience running a busy desk in a high volume, rapid environment. They will possess the desire to serve our clients and agents at the highest level and will be someone who constantly looks for ways to improve our service and experience. Responsibilities
- Exemplify the company philosophy of “Excellence in Everything” to eliminate errors and provide our agents and clients with an exceptional experience.
- Oversee all aspects of a closing: Receive and review all new contracts, prepare estimated closing statements for buyer and seller, prepare file for signing, monitor the closing, audit escrow file.
- Respond in a timely, professional, and courteous manner to any customer inquiries and keep all parties fully advised of transaction status.
- Request that all necessary information has been ordered and is accurate, i.e. payoff, abstract, title evidence, reports, mortgage documentation, and other pertinent information and review for completeness and compliance.
- Collaborate with the title company to resolve title issues prior to closing.
- Drive the closing process to meet timelines and closings dates.
- Prepare and submit closed loan package, deposits and disbursement documentation, recording package, final policy package and/or commission package to appropriate department or entities in an accurate and timely manner.
- Prepare Settlement Statements and other required miscellaneous documents.
- Mentor new employees and supervise assistants.
- Actively seek new business by attending sales meetings, real estate company events, company escrow meetings, company management meetings, and interact with lending and banking.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years expert experience preferred, performing closing transactions.
- Highly knowledgeable regarding standard closing concepts, practices, and procedures of the real estate settlement industry.
- Complete knowledge and ability to handle residential purchase transactions from receipt of contract and earnest money through funding and disbursement.
- Solid understanding of various title policy forms and typical endorsements.
- Ability to professionally manage challenging customers, to diffuse conflict situations and resolve closing issues quickly.
- Demonstrates ability to calculate discounts, prorations, and commission splits accurately.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to manage high volume transactions in a paperless environment.
- Intermediate to advanced experience working within closing software systems and Microsoft Office Applications.
- A high level of energy and engagement with our agents, staff, and leadership team through meetings, training, and proactive communication.
- A strong background in a client facing role, and to not only understand but appreciate the elements of client retention.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
