Hours: Day Shift Hours

Job Description: Provide courteous and prompt service to co-workers in a friendly efficient manner. Maintain a clean, well-stocked buffet and dining room to include all food, plates, and utensils. Ensure all unused food is properly counted and reported to the main kitchen culinary team. Maintain all tables as needed, ensuring all stocking duties are completed.


General Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years to be considered.
  • Complies with Oak Hill Country Club's Acorns of Excellence.
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with Oak Hill Country Club's appearance standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Anticipate employee and contact needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to concerns and requests.
  • Exceptional communication abilities when interacting with associates, guests, clients and internal departments to build relationships.
  • Able to consistently perform tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers.

Job Requirements:

  • Assist the team in providing an exceptional service experience by adhering to Oak Hill Employee Dining Room service standards, providing excellent experience throughout.
  • Assist in set up, restocking and tearing down of buffet.
  • Ensure buffet items are maintained at proper temperature and freshness; confer with culinary personnel if temperature/freshness is outside established guidelines and act a directed.
  • Monitor beverage station and machine for cleanliness, ice levels and product.
  • Keep condiment containers cleaned and fille. Maintain side work areas in a stocked, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Familiarize yourself with our employee food and beverage options.
  • Promptly clean, clear, and reset all tables.
  • Responsible for opening and closing processes which includes cleaning equipment, breaking down goods, storing and restocking items, etc.
  • Inspect and clean all china, glass, and silver.
  • Promptly and effectively resolve any service issues that arise, seeking assistance from management where appropriate.
  • Work alongside and in conjunction with the culinary staff as appropriate.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of employee names and preferences.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of employee dining room and back of house spaces.
  • May assist with mopping and dishwashing as needed.
  • Assist others in their duties, as needed.
  • Attend meetings to learn shift particulars, and all other required meetings/trainings.
  • Consistently follow laws and the club's policies.
  • Understand and be able to perform your role in an emergency situation.
  • In addition, other duties may be required as directed by management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to continuously sit, stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of a shift.
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Oak Hill's appearance standards.
  • Will be occasionally required to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity and other elements.
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
  • Must be able to periodically lift and carry up to 40 lbs. over the course of a shift.

Qualifications:


Education: High school or equivalent education required.

Experience:

  • Previous restaurant or culinary experience preferred.



Licenses & Certificates:

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.

Work Hours

  • Two days per week required with alternating weekends.
