We are looking for a SR. Support Technician to support our Graphics team in Akron, Ohio.
The LSI Industries location in Akron, OH is the hub for the Printed Retail Graphics & Décor, Digital Solutions, and Adapt Program Implementation businesses. These businesses provide turnkey product and service solutions to the Grocery, Quick Serve Restaurant, Retail Petroleum & Convenience Store and Pharmacy vertical markets.
SUMMARY:
Provides consultation, support and troubleshooting for all aspects of our Digital Signage solution. Must have strong troubleshooting skills in Linux (Preferably Arch) and Windows 7. Must understand network troubleshooting. Must be able to devise a solution and complete the task with minimal direction from the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help desk support for all Digital Signage customers.
- Works with customers to correct player issues and to troubleshoot network problems. Builds and configures players or SOC solutions for our Digital Signage operation.
- Provides technical support and guidance and works with vendors and customers to resolve issues.
- Responsible for documenting solutions to problems and developing end-user guidelines.
- May provide training to end users. Evaluates, maintains, modifies (e.g., creates macros, templates) and documents common repair solution techniques.
- Participates in the testing and evaluation of new software and hardware.
- Works to implement prototypes.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
