Controller

We are looking for a Controller to lead the finance and accounting function for Quality Glass and Mirror Service, which is a high growth, market leader in glass fabrication and installation. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will have an opportunity to create an immediate impact in our organization. This role will provide growth opportunities for a finance and accounting leader who is innovative, curious, analytically rigorous, and experienced in scaling accounting and finance team capabilities.

In this role you will:

• Oversee all accounting operational functions including general ledger, billing, A/R, A/P, payroll, revenue recognition, month-end close, account reconciliation and financial analysis
• Assist in the production of the annual budget and forecasts
• Establish and maintain systems and internal controls that support the integrity of all systems, processes, and data
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reporting packages, includingfinancial and operating metrics, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Manage all activities relating to external auditors, tax providers and statutory agencies for audits, inquiries, and tax compliance
• Assist in development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures
• Be an effective communicator with a commitment to fostering the development of your team – including hiring and training to enable continuous growth and improvement
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to automate and accelerate the financial reporting process
• Support ad hoc projects and help define systems improvements to support our growth and drive operational outcomes

Background and Experience Required:

• You are a CPA with a bachelor's degree in accounting (master's preferred)
• You have 3 to 7+ years of progressively responsible experience as Accounting Manager/Controller (a combination of public/private preferred)
• You have a solid understanding of GAAP accounting
• You have a proven track record of holding organizations accountable to their budgets, improving internal financial processes, and controlling and optimizing cash flow
• You are detail oriented
• You have keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting
• You have experience in a variety of financial systems and related programs, including QuickBooks Online, ERP systems, and advanced Excel knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to thrive and create value in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments

Bonus points if you have:

• Previous experience in the glass fabrication or another light manufacturing industry
• Familiarity with BI Dashboards (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Looker)
• Familiarity with financial consolidation software (e.g., Prophix, OneStream, etc.)
• Proficiency with SQL, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, VBA, etc.
• Previous experience with M&A integrations including financial modeling and treasury integration

Work Environment:

This role is required to be in person five days per week.
