Escrow Assistant - Funding Department

Summary
The Funder will assist the Escrow Team by handling all processes required for disbursing and funding transactions. The Funder is an important team member that works with Escrow to process incoming and outgoing funds in a timely manner to ensure the customer’s experience with Venture Title is predictable, simple, and personal.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities: include but not limited to the following:
Provides support to the Escrow Team by performing such duties as editing checks, balancing files, printing checks, shipping and uploading loan packages, sending, and posting wires and depositing checks. In smaller offices, this position may also lead to dual responsibilities such as a front office administrator.
Exhibits continuous process improvement in conjunction with Escrow Teams to ensure the most efficient workflow.
Contributes to the development, implementation and execution of disbursing and funding files in compliance with Venture Title’s trust accounting policy.
Responsible for the following functions:
· Audit file to ensure all curatives and actions have been handled by Escrow Team in preparation for closing.
· Disburse file in accordance with trust accounting policy.
· Upload final documents and distribute to all parties.
· Complete remote nightly deposit.
· Review outstanding checks and trial balance reports on a monthly basis as outlined in the trust accounting policy.
· Coordinate with delivery team on deliveries, exchanges and deposits to make sure these are completed in timely manner.
· Communicate with realtors, lenders, buyers and sellers regarding file status and completion of funding.
· Seek out feedback from Escrow Officers regarding opportunities to improve the process or lines of communication between the funding desk and the Escrow Team.
· Assist front desk with roll over calls and coverage as needed.
Requirements:Qualification/Experience:
· Preferred one-year industry related experience
· General understanding of real estate contracts.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, telephone, and email etiquette.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work under pressure while multitasking
· Excellent organizational skills
· Thorough understanding of all software application within Microsoft Office Suite and experience with paperless production software.
· Copier, e-mail, typing and 10 key calculator skills.
· Working knowledge of closing statements/disclosures, lender requirements, and commitment for title insurance.
Physical Demands:
· Sit for prolonged periods.
· Use hands and/or fingers to pick up, grasp and sort
· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities include close and peripheral vision and ability to focus and identify/distinguish colors.
