General Manager

As a General Manager at Maple Family Centers, you will be the primary person responsible for all aspects of the center’s operation at their Lakeland, Florida location. From ensuring exceptional customer service to managing administrative tasks, the General Manager will be central to the center’s overall success. Overseeing the entire property, food & beverage operation, building equipment, and administration functions, the general manager will ensure smooth operations, and cultivate a welcoming environment for every guest.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling of all center level staff.
• Cultivating a total team environment by motivating, coaching, and leading the staff to maximum productivity.
• Promoting positive employee relations through an open-door policy.
• Building strong customer relations by proactively soliciting feedback and resolving all customer issues and complaints.
• Maintaining the facility through attention to detail and adherence to all checklists provided.
• Participating in the development of budgets, analyzing financial reports, and developing plans to grow revenue and control expenses to meet budgets.
• Ensuring proper inventory procedures and levels are maintained to provide the highest quality of product offering and to control costs.
• Ensuring all expenses are paid timely and within budget.
• Ensuring compliance with all procedures and cash management policies, maintain change fund and make center deposits, if needed.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable occupational, health, and safety regulations and laws.
• Developing and executing marketing strategies to drive revenue in open, league, group sales, and Food & Beverage.
• Working within the community to create strategic relationships with various business organizations that would bring positive PR for the center.
• Ensuring all management maintain a “floor” presence in the center during peak times.
• Conferring with management in recommending disciplinary proceedings when appropriate.
• Monitoring guest wait-times for all services.
• Monitoring guest alcohol consumption rates and working closely with bartenders to maintain a safe drinking environment.
• Provide responsible training (TIPS) to all employees serving alcohol and ensure the center complies with all local alcohol laws and regulations.
• Ensuring that Center is clean and ready for guests at all times.

You are someone who has:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years general management experience in a restaurant, retail, entertainment, or bowling venue.
• TIPS certification, preferred.
• Understanding of financial statements and ability to analyze and create budgets.
• Strong customer service and attention to detail.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Strong team building skills with a focus on developing staff.
• Experience in creating local sales and marketing programs.
