Equipment Manager

Key Duties

  • Manages equipment needs, including rental & owned assets, for all divisions.
  • Manages all repair and transport operations.
  • Performs in depth reviews of equipment department business processes to establish practices and systems to reduce overall equipment expenses.
  • Negotiates with vendors for contract parts, services, and rentals.
  • Develops, manages, and leads our Safety culture within the Equipment Department.
  • Assigns Rental heavy equipment to company projects. Routinely monitors whereabouts and condition of Rental Heavy equipment.
  • Coordinates with superintendents on internal & 3rd party rental heavy equipment to job sites.
  • Monitor and adhere to the established budgets.
  • Keeps inventory of all company heavy equipment assets.
  • Job will require travel to jobsites as required to support the field operations (50%)

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience managing a heavy equipment department
  • 8+ years’ managing equipment rentals
  • 8+ years’ experience with heavy equipment transport logistics
  • Experience with E360 and HCSS Dispatcher
  • Action oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness and ability to travel (50%)
  • Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must participate in pre-employment and random drug screening program.
  • Subject to a background screening process
