Job Description
Job Overview: Supervise the day-to-day operations of the dispatch office.
- Job Functions:
- Oversees daily dispatch of drivers and attendants as well as substitute drivers and attendants for efficient operations;
- Create, update, and maintain all manuals, procedures or policies in accordance with all state and federal guideline and regulations and record keeping requirements;
- Coordinates all fleet maintenance with proper vendors
- Researches, investigates, and answers incoming correspondence and or calls received at the dispatch office.
- Oversees DOT drug screening program.
- Assist Supervisor of Transportation in all HR functions for the department.
- Under direction, assists with the use of budgeted funds with the dispatch office.
- Keeps abreast of trends and developments with school transportation.
- Assist as needed/directed in any emergency situation that may arise including dispatch functions, accidents, etc.
