Job Description

We are hiring Overnight Clerical Operations to provide comprehensive administrative, shipping, and receiving support for our Produce Warehouse Operations in Commerce. The Clerical Operations will assist the Supervisor in daily tasks to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of activities for its customers, and the sales team.

Schedule: Graveyard Shift Sun-Fri, Off Sat; $20

Position Requirements:

  • AA Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Flexible schedule, including overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments
  • Strong collaborative skills for conflict management
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in shipping and receiving office
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Spreadsheets, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable in an office environment, with desk work comprising 80% of the day
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective multitasking with minimal supervision
  • Organized, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Above-average typing skills
  • High energy and ability to prioritize
  • Bilingualism advantageous
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist Operation Supervisor with day-to-day shipping and receiving duties, facilitating communication between shifts
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and adjust as needed
  • Independently follow up on tasks and meet shipping and receiving deadlines
  • Analyze and resolve problems independently
  • Maintain professional relationships across departments and organize daily assignments
  • Input customer orders promptly and communicate shortages to the sales team
  • Review and process approved customer credits promptly
  • Provide drivers with the necessary documentation and coordinate back-hauls
  • Operate office equipment proficiently
  • Handle confidential information appropriately
  • Perform routine off-site errands as required
  • Build strong relationships within the Great West team
  • Ensure compliance with customer logistics guidelines
  • Maintain relationships with customer decision-makers
  • Communicate shipping information to customers, addressing shortages and coordinating backorders
  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned
